I'm gonna be late getting home again

I'm still at the beach with my friends

Sure, I've got homework

And yeah, I've got chores

But I've been gone seven hours

What's one more?

On the subject of lateness

My mom's got anger galore

I'm gonna be late getting home again

She'll say I'm getting punished 'cause I earned it

But she'll never say where I learned it

A parent-teacher meeting,

An appointment or a date

My mom's the one

Who's always late

She flip flops with me

Inconsistency, I hate
